PosIQ grew out of running a hospitality business and the moments when traditional tools became too slow or disconnected during a full service.

Full dining room, every table occupied, the kitchen at pace — and a till that does not match the team’s rhythm.
That experience raised the question of how a POS system has to look if it is not to interrupt service. The answer became PosIQ: a POS on iPhone and iPad that treats table, order, kitchen, payment and day-end close as one connected transaction.

How we build the product.
Product decisions determine how a business works later. That is why we keep PosIQ close to what actually happens in service.
Think from a real evening of service.
A feature only counts once it stays understandable on a busy night. We measure a flow not by the length of a feature list but by how few clear steps sit between order, ticket, payment and close.
On devices that are already there.
PosIQ runs on iPhone and iPad instead of proprietary POS hardware. That keeps the setup small, makes replacement easy and does not tie the business to a single device.
Name the product status honestly.
We keep what is available visibly separate from what is prepared or planned. PosIQ Connect has therefore been marked as available since 24 August 2026, while parts that have not completed final acceptance remain clearly separated.
Set up in person instead of unlocking anonymously.
Live operation starts with agreed devices, ticket routes and TSE — not with a checkbox in a signup form. After that the business has to keep running, even if the connection drops briefly.
Who is behind PosIQ.
PosIQ is built by Ardit Thaqi at Born – Theoretical Software in Bad Schussenried, Germany: out of his own hospitality experience and with daily use in mind.
Responsibility for product, development and communication sits with the owner. PosIQ supports running a POS; it does not replace tax assessment or review by a tax firm.
